ISTmedWatch® Web Services
Interactive lookups, batch processing utility
and XML web services are also available for our ISTmedWatch® application. ISTmedWatch® quickly
finds any records on excluded parties lists maintained by the Department
of Health and Human Services (HHS),
such as the Office of Inspector General’s LEIE database and the
General Services Administration’s Lists of Parties Excluded from
Federal Procurement and Non-procurement Programs. I
How is
ISTmedWatch® Better?
While other technologies use exact matching, ISTmedWatch® is able
to find individual and company names even if they contain variations
due to spelling, phonetics, missing words, noise words, nicknames,
prefixes, keyboard errors, or sequence variations. The system
is extremely intelligent and overcomes the infinitely numerous
techniques used to disguise real identities.
ISTmedWatch ® searches against the lists below:

The General
Services Administration (GSA)'s List also known as the Excluded
Parties Listed System (EPLS) provides an up to date source
of information on those firms and individuals that have been suspended,
debarred or otherwise excluded
from Federal Procurement and Nonprocurement Programs. Users
of the list are able to conduct a search by name of the excluded
firm or individual.
There are three (3) Exclusion Types: reciprocal, procurement and
nonprocurement: The Reciprocal Lists, is a listing of procurement
and nonprocurement exclusions taken after August 25, 1995. The Federal
Register on June 26, 1995, published the final rule to ensure that
exclusions from Government procurement and nonprocurement programs
were applied reciprocally. The effective date of this change was
August 25, 1995. In other words, any procurement or nonprocurement
action initiated on or after August 25, 1995, means exclusion from
both programs. This list includes individuals, entities, and contractors
that are excluded Governmentwide (unless otherwise noted) from Federal
procurement sales programs, nonprocurement programs, and financial
and nonfinancial benefits.
